Nicki Minaj curses out Mariah Carey during 'American Idol' auditions

Nicki Minaj curses out Mariah Carey during 'American Idol' auditions

Get ready for some major drama on "American Idol" in the upcoming season. Host Ryan Seacrest told TODAY last month that "there are not too many dull moments between" new judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj, and it looks like he was putting things a bit mildly.
TMZ obtained footage from the "Idol" auditions held in Charlotte, N.C., Tuesday, and it the video shows that the two divas are not getting along. At all. According to the gossip site, when the two ladies disagreed over a contestant, Minaj unleashed a flood of expletives at Carey, at one point declaring, "I'm not f-----' putting up with her f-----' highness over there."
Fellow new judge Keith Urban, who was seated between the two women, can be seen throwing up his hands in exasperation in the video, while original panelist Randy Jackson kept asking for a "time out." (You can watch the curse-filled -- but bleeped -- tirade on TMZ.)
Neither Fox nor the "Idol" producers had a comment about the incident on Tuesday night. The production company behind the show, 19 Entertainment, has not yet responded to a request for comment.

Before Urban and Minaj were announced as the final "Idol" judges, reports surfaced that Carey was not happy about Minaj joining the show and allegedly hung up on producers when they called her about it. But it seemed like the two had worked out their differences, with Minaj telling Access Hollywood that "I'm sitting next to a woman who I've looked up to since I can remember enjoying music." "Idol" sources also reportedly told TMZ that Carey had pulled Minaj aside in September to make peace.
Season 12 of "American Idol" kicks off in 2013.
