Drunk Man Recover Car Two Years Later, After Forgetting Where He Parked It

A lot of people get drunk in Germany, but not all of them forget where they park their cars like a 31-year-old man who did.
Bavarian Police on Thursday disclosed that a Munich man has found his car two years after forgetting where he parked.
Following an unsuccessful search the day after he had gotten drunk in December 2010, the vehicle’s owner reported his car as missing to the Munich police.
Authorities discovered it by chance last month 4 km from the spot where the now 33-year-old craftsman originally thought he had parked after a traffic warden noticed that the car’s inspection stickers had expired.
“The weird thing is that it turned up so far away, although the owner was pretty sure of where he had left it,” said police spokesman Alexander Lorenz.
Lorenz said 40,000 euros ($51,600) worth of tools including power drills and electric screwdrivers were found in the trunk of the car.
