The Mystery Behind the Health of Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan
It’s been several days since speculation began about President
Goodluck Jonathan’s wife, Patience Jonathan’s, mysterious illness.
She’s been sick for days but to no surprise, Jonathan’s administration
has
been keeping it hush hush. Some were even wondering whether she’s
ailing from a botched plastic surgery procedure. Jonathan’s
administration first led Nigerians to believe she was treated in a
private hospital in Germany for food poisoning but it was later reported
that the first lady underwent surgery to remove cancerous uterine
fibroids. Some say her condition is serious.
SaharaReporters confirmed yesterday that President Goodluck Jonathan made a hasty departure from Botswana, cutting down his state visit by one day. Then he reportedly arrived in Abuja and told his aides his wife is fine. Time will tell. Goodluck to the Jonathans.
