Rick Ross' Maybach Music Clashes With Young Jeezy And G-Unit At BET Awards

ATLANTA — Rick Ross' Maybach Music camp is involved in quite a bit of drama, with both Young Jeezy and 50 Cent's camp.
During Saturday's (September 29) taping for BET's 2012 Hip-Hop Awards in Atlanta Rozay and the Snowman reportedly got into a shoving match backstage before the scuffle spilled outside into the parking lot. Shots were fired and at least one man was said to be arrested.
That's not all. Multiple sources who witnessed the fray confirmed to MTV News that Ross' protégé Gunplay was also involved in fisticuffs with members of 50 Cent's G-Unit camp. Gun was seen with visible wounds and a witness told us that the Miami MC was put into handcuffs and detained, but a separate source close to Gunplay told us that he was not arrested.
Most of the crowd inside the Atlanta Civic Center, where the taping took place were unaware of the drama that jumped off around the same time that A Tribe Called Quest, Missy Elliott and Busta Rhymes paid tribute to fallen music mogul Chris Lighty. 50 Cent and Fat Joe, who have quarreled repeatedly semed to have put their differences aside for the moment as they too appeared on stage to honor Lighty. Both Rick Ross and Jeezy also performed different sets during the award show.

New York DJ Funkmaster Flex took to Twitter to broadcast his account. "Jeezy and Rick Ross just had words backstage!! Pushing and shoving," Flex wrote. "Shots fired in parking lot!!! Gunman arrested!!!"
Machine Gun Kelly also seemed to get caught up in the whirlwind as well. "Got mase in my eyes. That beef sh-- just got real," he tweeted.
A spokesperson for the Atlanta Police Department told TMZ, "Shortly after 7:15 pm Saturday, a fight broke out in the parking lot at the Atlanta Civic Center (where the awards were being taped) between two groups. Officers on scene responded to break up the fight and used OC spray [commonly known as pepper spray] in the process. Individuals fled the scene. There were no arrests or reports of serious injuries. Reports of shots fired appear to be untrue."

Arnold Schwarzenegger Break Up "Affair Was 'Stupidest Thing' I Did"

Arnold Schwarzenegger Break Up "Affair Was 'Stupidest Thing' I Did"

Arnold Schwarzenegger is revealing more about the affair that led to the split with his Maria Shriver, saying his actions were "stupid" and caused his wife "tremendous pain."
In his first interview since revealing last year that he had fathered a secret lovechild with his housekeeper, the former California governor opens up about his affair with Mildred Baena to CBS 60 Minutes correspondent Lesley Stahl. "I think it was the stupidest thing I've done in the whole relationship," he said. "It was terrible. I inflicted tremendous pain on Maria and unbelievable pain on the kids."

Schwarzenegger also reveals intimate details of the affair and his relationship with Shriver in his new autobiography Total Recall: My Unbelievably True Life Story, which is due out on Monday
Shriver has not yet commented on the book, but Schwarzenegger told CBS that he doesn't think she'll be surprised by any of his revelations. "She knows that it's about my whole life and that I would not write a book and kind of leaves out that part and makes people feel like, 'Well, wait a minute. Are we just getting a book about his success stories and not talk about his failures?... I wanted to write a book about me.'"

In the book, Schwarzenegger reportedly recounts that he had sex with housekeeper Mildred Baena in 1996 in the family guest house while his wife and the kids were away on vacation. The star says he tried for years to convince himself that Baena's husband was the father of the child, but eventually he had to face the truth when the boy grew up with obvious resemblance to him.

Kanye West Watched Kim K Sex Tape While Banging Other Chicks

Kanye West Watched Kiksm K Sex Tape While Banging Other Chic

Before Kanye West was nailin' Kim Kardashian ... he used to nail other chicks while watching Ray J nail Kim Kardashian.

Multiple sources with first-hand knowledge of the situation tell us ... Kanye used the Kim K sex tape in the bedroom to get him in the mood ... and it always worked.

As we previously reported, Kanye has had a thing for Kim dating back several years ... and even tried to get her to break up with Reggie Bush in 2009 so they could get together.

We know he loves the sex tape ... he even raps about it on his upcoming album.

Now, Kanye doesn't need the sex tape anymore ... he has the real thing ... and once again, Ray J becomes irrelevant.

Ayinde fires Flamingoes to q’final, Trash Colombia 3-0

Ayinde fires Flamingoes to q’final, Trash Colombia 3-0

Halimatu Ayinde’s second brace of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup was enough to send Nigeria into the quarter-finals and Colombia out in a 3-0 victory.
Chinwendu Ihezuo went close early on, her bullet header going just wide as she aimed to improve on her tally of six at Azerbaijan 2012. However they had to wait until the 32nd minute to open the scoring, Ihezuo feeding Ayinde to slot beneath Lissa Cardozo.
It was a scrappy game, but one that was favouring the African side. Nigeria were being limited to few chances despite dominating possession, but last-ditch tackles and blocks were keeping Colombia in it.
Maldonado almost swung things back on level terms though, with her looping free-kick from 40 yards crashing off the crossbar on 50 minutes, only for Gift Andy to recover and prevent Marcela Restrepo tapping in.
Moments later Tessy Biahwo then struck a decent free-kick of her own, but Cardozo was equal to it. Nigeria then had the ball in the net 15 minutes into the second period, but it was ruled out for a foul after Cardozo spilled a cross. Nigeria will play France in the quarter-finals on October 4.

Fuel scarcity ‘ll get worse –NUPENG, PENGASSAN

Fuel scarcity ‘ll get worse –NUPENG, PENGASSAN

Respite seems not to be in sight for Nigerians on the current fuel scarcity that has crippled economic activities in Lagos and other parts of the country. For the past two weeks, residents of Lagos, Ogun and Oyo states have suffered the pains of fuel shortage, which purportedly occurred due to vandalisation of a 2B pipeline and the murder of three staffers of the Pipelines and Products Marketing Company (PPMC), a subsidiary of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) in Arepo, Ogun State.
A couple of weeks ago, petroleum pipelines in Arepo were destroyed by some vandals, who harassed journalists and killed three PPMC officials who went to repair the damaged pipeline. The fuel shortage has taken a heavy toll on the citizenry across the country, particularly in the northern and western parts, leading to long queues at few stations with petrol to sell.
Transport have increased cost of public transportation, while price of petrol in the black marketers have increased to N200 per litre. However, the masses are bearing the brunt of the scarcity with calm, for now. The damaged NNPC system 2B, pumps about 11 million litres of fuel per day, which is about one-third of the national daily consumption from Atlas Cove offshore depot in Lagos, to Satellite depot in Ejigbo, Lagos; Mosimi, Ogun State; Ibadan, Oyo State; Ore in Ondo State, Ilorin in Kwara State and some parts of the North.
The crisis, which started in Abuja last month, has spread like wildfire to other parts of the country and major cities, especially Lagos, where fuel queues have now led to traffic gridlocks all over the nation’s commercial nerve centre.  Only very few filling stations in Lagos and neighbouring states have petrol and most sell only diesel, while a few also sell kerosene. The few that have fuel now sell at N120 per litre against the official price of N97. Investigation showed that marketers and depot owners, who load trucks on 24-hour basis, now barely work for 10 hours a day.
According to the marketers, the trend will continue unless there is adequate fuel to match the demand. NNPC Acting Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Fidel Pepple, said last week that the shortage in Lagos and other parts of the country was due to vandalisation of Arepo pipelines, adding that the NNPC had taken measures to end the current scarcity. He further said the NNPC had stepped up distribution through tankers.
“As I speak, we have raised daily supply of fuel from Folawiyo tank farm from 150 to 250 tankers, MRS from 100 to 200, Capital Oil to 300 tankers, NIPCO to 70 and AITEO to 100 tankers,” Mr. Pepple said, adding that fuel supply to Port Harcourt, Aba, and Calabar has also been increased. Though Mr. Pepple said the NNPC had 32 days sufficiency and is currently collaborating with security agencies to fix the pipeline and restore normal supply to affected areas, organized labour in the petroleum sector said government was not sincere to Nigerians on the magnitude of the problem. According to National President of Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Gas workers (NUPENG), Comrade Igwe Achese, the crisis may linger until government addressed major challenges in the downstream sector.
“The trend will continue until government shows responsibility and act in the interest of the people,” he said. The NUPENG boss said the problem was beyond damaged pipelines, adding that, “The pipeline in question is NNPC pipeline for product coming in through NNPC. Product coming in from there cannot sustain the country; it is only one channel to Mosimi, Ejigbo and not for the marketers, who are no more importing, and those doing so are selling at exorbitant prices.”
He said the solution is for government to call stakeholders’ meeting of all marketers to address the issue, noting that government should not hesitate to prosecute fraudulent marketers. Achese lamented that Nigerians would have been spared this hardship had the Federal Government listened to NUPENG. “We are happy that Nigerians are now seeing and experiencing this. It started in Abuja, and now is all over the country, and NUPENG is not on strike.
“The real problem is that we completely depend on importation, as none of our refineries is producing anything now. But such can be corrected if the government can make our refineries work. The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria ((PENGASSAN) likewise confirmed that the fuel crisis goes beyond pipeline vandalisation in Arepo or anywhere in the country. “The inability of government to provide security for the pipelines and failure to pay marketers, have snowballed into this crisis shrouded in uncertainty.
“Though we are not saying government should condone corruption, neither are we in support of corruption, but we believe government should settle genuine marketers,” the union said. PENGASSAN charged government to speed up work on the refineries as such would boost fuel supply in the country

Nigeria@52: No funds for infrastructure, but politicians’ pockets deepen

Nigeria@52: No funds for infrastructure, but politicians’ pockets deepen

A lot has changed in Nigeria in the past 52 years, one of which is the cost of governance, which has skyrocketed.
LEKE BAIYEWU writes that suggestions for a return to the slim structure of the First Republic have not gone down well with some operators of the system
Nigeria is a country with a population of about 167 million, according to the National Population Council. The significance of this is that it has many mouths to feed as well as huge infrastructure to provide: schools, vast network of roads, hospitals, pipe-borne water, funding of education among others.
Unfortunately, the country has huge infrastructural deficit, which has negatively impacted on its economic and social development. Keen observers of the country’s affairs have attributed this sorry state of affairs to corruption and the large size of government.
For instance, the Federal Government has a 42-member cabinet, with each of the 36 states of the federation producing at least a minister in accordance with the 1999 Constitution.
Besides, it has a bicameral legislature, with the Senate having 109 members, and 360 lawmakers in the House of Representatives. Each lawmaker is entitled to have at least five legislative aides – all paid by the state.
The upshot is that the country spends about 78 per cent of its annual budget on recurrent expenditure, thereby leaving a little above 20 per cent for capital expenditure or development.
Given the economic challenges facing the country and the need to reorder priorities some have canvassed the reduction of the size of government. Such cost saving measures, critics say should include restructuring of the bloated civil service and tinkering with the presidential system because of its expensive nature.
About three weeks ago, Senegalese parliament approved the scrapping of the country’s Senate in response to its economic challenges.
Apparently, Senegal is to save about 8 billion CFA francs ($15 million) for the country to manage the impact of deadly floods.
In a joint session with the lower House, two-third of the lawmakers approved the suppression of the Senate “with immediate effect.”
Earlier in the year, Nigerian lawmakers had reportedly jacked up their quarterly allowances from N15m to N27m; and from N42m to N45m for each member of the House of Representatives and the Senate, respectively.
In summary, the 360 representatives will spend N38bn, while the 109 senators will spend N19.62bn annually.
Regrettably, these hefty sums were far above the remunerations prescribed by the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, the only body empowered by the constitution to fix the salaries and allowances of public officials.
Conversely, while the lower House in Senegal was trimming its expenditure, members of the House of Representatives in Nigeria reportedly launched fresh moves to increase their quarterly allowance by N7m. This means that the N27m they earn quarterly as allowances would be jerked up to N34m. This is aside the N5m medical expenses and insurance budget for each of them.
While President Goodluck Jonathan in January announced reduction of government expenditure by cutting the salaries of executive officials by 25 per cent, salaries and allowances of legislative officials were exempted. Added to governance high cost are frequent foreign trips by public office holders. The President promised reduction of this to the barest minimum is yet to be seen.
Apparently, impressed by the Senegal’s prescription, a former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu, had at a forum on September 18 called for the scrapping of the Senate.
He said Nigerians should take a step towards reducing the cost of governance rather than complain about it. He argued that the House of Representatives was preferable to represent the people, since its members are closer to the grassroots.
He said, “We have kept complaining about the cost of governance and the recurrent expenditure. But we have never examined the structural problem of even the constitution that we are operating.
“Why do we need two Houses of the National Assembly?  The House of Representatives, representing the smaller constituencies, is enough in the same number of population. Why not get rid of the Senate for a slim and better legislative activity? Let us start examining that.”
Expectedly, senators spurned the idea, stating that Tinubu was not realistic. Last week, Senator Thompson Sekibo, laughed derisively at the suggestion and said, “Scrap the senate? Except of course he is calling for the scrapping of the legislature as a whole, in which case, he will be talking of another form of government, not democracy.”
Similarly, the Senate leader, Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, said, “The Senate is a representation based on equality. If you scrap the senate, then you have denied the minorities’ proper representation.
Further, in the bureaucracy, interest groups are spiritedly working to kill the Steven Oronsanye’s report, which recommended the scrapping and merger of some government agencies and department.
It would be recalled that the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Sanusi Lamido, had in 2010 expressed worry about the burden national legislative arm placed on Nigeria’s economy. He has expressed his fears that the country might not realise its Vision 20:2020, due to its high recurrent expenditure.
He also said, “If you look at the budget, the bulk of government spending is recurrent. That is a big problem. Twenty five per cent of overhead of the Federal Government goes to the National Assembly. We need power; we need infrastructure; so, we need to start looking at the structure of expenditure and make it more consistent with the development initiatives of the country.”
Critics of the Assembly’s expenditure have queried if the performance of the government is worth the huge amount spent in running it.
It would be recalled that the 6th Senate passed a mere 91 out of the 514 bills introduced in four years. Of the number, only 130 bills passed the second reading; 458 got the first reading, while four bills were negative.
Comparing the current federal executive council and the legislature with what the First Republic had, a former governor of the old Anambra State, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife, described the current system as too expensive.
“For the cabinet, there was a recommendation in the 1994/95 conference for having three ministers from each of the geopolitical zones; that made up 18. Today, we have over 40 members of the cabinet.
“In the First Republic, our legislators were on part-time and not full time, and they did not make rules for their allowances. Today, we have heard a lot of legal and illegal allowances, which have made the legislature expensive.”
Ezeife, who was an adviser on political matters to former President Olusegun Obasanjo, called for the conversion of the geopolitical zones into federating units to reduce cost of governance. He, however, added that where a unicameral legislature is to be adopted, the lower chamber should be scrapped.
Ezeife said, “We are spending extensively too much on recurrent, leaving behind little for capital. I learnt that our recurrent expenditure is now about 80 per cent. The situation of the country is like a farmer sleeping during the planting season. Ours is expensive legislature and we must do something about it.
“Let us convert the geopolitical zones into federating units and have a legislature that has equal number of representatives from the regions. We should do away with the House of Representatives and maintain the Senate.”
In his submission, Prof. Pat Utomi, attributed the excessive cost of governance in the country to the selfish interest of politicians, to whom the government had become a source of livelihood.
He said, “The current cost of governance is the highest I have ever known of in the nation’s history. Those in power find it convenient to enlarge the government to create more jobs for the boys. I do not think we should have ministers from every state but so many people hang on the government to get something.
“The cost is double; the money going out as recurrent expenditure and the adverse effect on the execution of capital projects. You cannot but say politics is everything today. So, many people are dependent on the government and politicians. Our country is full of people who look for something to take from being in government.”
Utomi added that the information usually released by the government on its expenditure did not reflect the true nature of its finances, while disclosing that there was a time the recurrent expenditure was about 96 per cent under a former president, even when the monies were borrowed.
“It all started in 1999, since then I have always advocated a unicameral and part-time legislature. This, I have tagged: ‘Citizen Legislature.’ The full-time we have now is not representing the people; the representatives are disconnected from the people.”
According to Utomi, a professor of political economy at Pan African University, Lagos, an average man on the street, who knows how the masses feel, will make better laws than the elite, who live in Abuja and do not know the feelings of the masses.

Muslim clerics sentence 6 people to death for singing and dancing at wedding

Muslim clerics sentence 4 women and 2 men to death for singing and dancing at wedding- Apparently there is still a bit of sanity in Pakistan: "Pakistan cleric arrested over dancing death decree," from AFP, May 29 (thanks to Kenneth):

Police in Pakistan on Tuesday arrested a Muslim cleric accused of sentencing six people to death for singing and dancing at a wedding in the north of the country.

"Police have arrested a cleric and his companion for issuing the death decree, but they totally denied it," local administration official Aqal Badshah Khattak told AFP.

Guests at a Pakistani wedding dancing and celebrating the occasion.
"The cleric has said he had no role in the decree and his name was misused," Khattak said....

But on Tuesday, district police chief Abdul Majeed Afridi said it appeared to be a case of tribal rivalry and an attempt to defame a family.

He said the video was recorded three years ago and then edited in an attempt to implicate the party goers.

"I am satisfied that there is no danger to the life of the girls," he said.

According to the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, at least 943 women and girls were murdered last year after being accused of defaming their family's honor....

"Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious." -- Ayatollah Khomeini

"Sentenced to death for singing and dancing at wedding," from AFP, May 29 (thanks to Block Ness):

Four women and two men have been sentenced to death in northern Pakistan for singing and dancing at a wedding, police say.

Clerics issued a decree after a mobile phone video emerged of the six enjoying themselves in a remote village in the mountainous district of Kohistan, 176km north of the capital Islamabad.

Pakistani authorities in the area said local clerics had ordered the punishment over allegations that the men and women danced and sang together in Gada village, in defiance of strict tribal customs that separate men and women at weddings.

"The local clerics issued a decree to kill all four women and two men shown in the video," district police officer Abdul Majeed Afridi said.

"It was decided that the men will be killed first, but they ran away so the women are safe for the moment. I have sent a team to capture them and am waiting to hear some news," he said, adding that the women had been confined to their homes....

President Goodluck Jonathan Replies Critics

President Goodluck Jonathan Replies Critics

That uneasy lies the head that wears the crown is a phrase on marble can not be contested. Ever since Goodluck Ebele Jonathan became the elected president, having served almost two years to end the tenure of former late president, Yar'dua, he has been embroiled in different controversies. He's even regarded as the most criticised president ever lived.

Despite all this, GEJ stands as Mount Gilbratar, he's undeterred, he's not being intimidated by anybody but lives every minute of his life to seek for permanent and lasting solutions to Nigeria problems.

He said by 2013, which is next year, he's going to silence his detractors and put his critics to check. Nigerians, over to you!

“I think I am the most criticised president in the whole world, but I tell this noble audience that before I leave, I will also be the most praised president.

“I have experienced that before in my governor journey in Bayelsa state. In fact, people who were close to me will tell you that even after the election, I told them that in my first 12 months please cover your ears because you will hear all kinds of things.

But as we progress, you will see (changes).

We are working very hard to stabilise power. We are working very hard to resurface our roads. We have security challenges, which we are also working very hard to bring to reasonable control.

It is not easy; we don’t have the magic wand, except the miracle worker that with the wave of the hand, probably will help to throw all these challenges away and prosperity will appear.

But in pure governance issues, it takes time.

Sometimes, even people who have held offices in government criticise me to the extent of personal abuses. Sometimes I ask, were there roads across in the country and Jonathan brought flood to wipe out these roads? or we had power and I brought hurricane to break down the entire infrastructure?

If they say Boko Haram is because of poverty; were there massive irrigation projects in the North where agriculture can thrive and massive farms, and Jonathan brought drought to wipe out these farms? under two years is it possible?

Well, time will tell. What I can tell Nigerians is that let those who criticize continue to criticise.
We will do our best and as we progress, Nigerians will know the truth and we’ll see that we are committed and will surely transform this country,’’Mr president said.

Qatar Airline Makes Emergency Landing in Lagos

Qatar Airline Makes Emergency Landing in Lagos

Qatar Airline flight 592 from Doha to Lagos made an emergency landing a few minutes ago at the Murtala Muhammed International airport, Lagos. The pilots discovered midair that one tyre had low pressure, making landing difficult. They radioed our airport for emergency precaution and a vehicle to tow the plane from the runway to the gate.

The best part was, more than 95% of the passengers didn't even know anything was wrong until the plane landed and they saw fire service and National  Emergency Management Agency all around. One of the passengers tweeted that it was a smooth landing so was surprised that they even had issues.

The plane has been slowly towed to it's landing spot at the airport. We thank God

5 Signs that Jay Z Son, Blue Ivy, is the Antichrist

5 Signs that Jay Z Son, Blue Ivy, is the Antichrist

1. Sitting In the Temple

1. Sitting In the Temple
In Biblical language, this is a way of saying "Living in a palace and lording over us." Which, let's just say, Blue Ivy's mom and pop are more guilty of this than her (I mean, she is only a few days old), but what's she gonna learn, huh? She's better than all those other NICU babies? Um, yeah, actually.

   2. Opposes those who are worshipped

 2. Opposes those who are worshipped
We all know that Blue Ivy is going to rebel hardcore against her parents - the creme de la creme of the music industry - but she's probably going to try to overthrow the government too. Y'all watch yourselves.

 3. Arrogance

3. Arrogance
Basically, the "I'm better than you" vibe is playing hard through all these signs. When it comes to this, arrogance of the "I'm not just better than you, I'm going to rule over you and destroy the world" variety is present. I'm officially terrified of a baby.

4. Performing counterfeit miracles

4. Performing counterfeit miracles
That is, pretending to perform miracles, but really just letting luck, or money, take over things. This is probably the place where I would mention the fake surrogate and Beyonce's "back and better than ever" body that will be in the tabloids within a few months. I'll just let you read between the lines.

 5. Performing other acts of evil

5. Performing other acts of evil
Blocking parents from the NICU for security, potentially smuggling in a surrogate, and generally being holier-than-thou about the whole pregnancy have created a series of "well that's kind of mean and unnecessary" comments on all Babyonce posts. While right now everything is on her parents, I'm terrified for Blue Ivy's evil future.

10 Worst Names A Person Can Possibly Have [EXPERT]

10 Worst Names A Person Can Possibly Have [EXPERT]

Did the name you wish to be called make the list? Find out now!

We're all guilty of it; when reading anything written about anyone, we talk about the meaning behind that person's name. It's because we tend to associate different names with different behaviors.
Some names are naturally "better" than other names because they are more balanced in their gifts and their challenges. Remember: all names have both an abundance of gifts and an abundance of challenges to help us improve and grow. Here are the top ten worst names to have. Cross your fingers you don't read your own!
Boy names:
  1. Morgan. Everything is difficult for a Morgan, and he has bad luck. Morgan waits to win something big, and is motivated by wanting recognition so he doesn't have to work.
  2. Gordon. Gordon tends to sabotage himself and/or others. He is overly critical, which makes him tough to be around for an extended period of time. His logical mind often keeps him thinking in circles. Gordon wants to be ahead of the curve in order to gain that extra attention he so desperately craves.
  3. Weston. Weston doesn't see reality for what it is. Rather, he lives in illusion despite swearing he sees things clearly. His need to be in the spotlight causes him to act out aganist good people. 8 Signs You Aren't Ready For A Relationship [EXPERT]
  4. Herbert. Herbert is always looking for perfection in himself and others. Herbert turns his attention towards sex, sexual fantasies, and diffidence.
  5. Bruce. Charming and charismatic when he wants to be, Bruce can turn on the charm and — just as effortlessly —turn it off. Bruce is often paranoid, and can be quite difficult to live or work with over a long period of time. His big ego combined with his fear of losing control render Bruce quite a handful.
Girl names:
  1. Heather. Heathers are often equivalent to Gordons. They can come across as sweethearts, and yet something always ends up going wrong. Due to their inability to see things clearly, Heathers have a difficult time keeping their priorities straight.
  2. Marie. Maries consistently self-sacrifice for the good of the whole. They are always expected to serve others, and put themselves in a position to be the last priority. This extreme martyrdom gets old and yet, doesn’t change.
  3. Hillary. With Hillaries, everything is an uphill battle. Hillaries always have to fight for what they believe is right and nothing comes easily to them. They have issues involving fairness; they have no problem standing up for others, yet have a hard time finding their own voice to fight for themself. Often, Hillaries will complete tasks they don't want to do, just for the sake of others. Life is one uphill battle. So, to compensate, Hillary micromanages.
  4. Sheila. Nothing goes as planned for Sheilas, and often, they don't feel like they fit into the same social circles as the people around them. Thus, Sheilas are constantly seeking to gain approval from others while often battling health issues, as well. Their constitution is weak and as a result, their immune systems are often compromised.
  5. Connie. As interesting as Connies are, they are such extreme control freaks that they eventually drive even the most caring people away from them. They are overly critical and would rather be right than have a friend. Connies tend to demean others in their company.

It’s sad that Mimiko wants to probe me – Agagu

It’s sad that Mimiko wants to probe me – Agagu

A former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Agagu, has described the planned probe of his administration by the current governor of the state, Olusegun Mimiko, as a sad one.
Agagu told Saturday PUNCH via a telephone interview that his administration thrived on transparency.
He stated that Mimiko was the Secretary to the Government during his tenure and was aware of all transactions made in the state.
Agagu said, “If it is true that the desire to probe me is from the Governor, Olusegun Mimiko, I will say it is a sad commentary on the quality of leadership that is emerging in Nigeria. This is because Mimiko was my secretary to government when all the tenets, programmes, rules and regulations on financial matters in Ondo State were being put in place within the first month I was sworn in as the governor of the state.
“Mimiko was the person who circularised the financial guidelines that governed our administration throughout my tenure. Mimiko knows what he did and if he is now trying to cast aspersions on it, then it is sad that he is doing that.”
The former governor said that Mimiko knew what he said was wrong and it was sad that for politics sake, he would want to tell lies.
“Our administration was fashioned along the path of ultimate transparency. Starting from when resources are allocated to the state in the beginning of every month. I had a fund allocation committee, a practice that had never been put in place in the history of Ondo State.
“Usually, the governor and his commissioner for finance at the end of every month would sit, look at the finances of the state and plan how it would be disbursed. In our case, we had a fund allocation committee that had the governor as its chairman, the Deputy Governor, Secretary to Government, the Head of Service, the Speaker of the House of Assembly, the Chief Judge of the State, the Chairman Council of Obas, the Leader of the Labour Union, and the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Finance as the secretary; all income allocated to the state are tabled and how it would be spent is detailed,” Agagu said.
He stated that every Wednesday, the Commissioner of Information gave details of all transactions that went on at the SEC where contracts were awarded, to the media.
Agagu added, “No contract above N1m was awarded in Ondo State without the approval of the SEC, commissioners, special advisers and all civil servants who are attached to it. Part of the financial regulations of the state was that an audited account of state finances, how much came in, how it was spent and how it was audited, is supposed to be submitted to the state House of Assembly on the Sept. 30 every year.”
The ex governor said that in the last three years before he became governor in 2003, no audited account by the state Auditor-General had been submitted to the House of Assembly.
Agagu stated that he had cleared this backlog. “If you need to check, the transactions, records of the state house of assembly would be there. All the five years I was governor, by Sept. 30 every year, the audited account of the state was placed before the house of assembly and for five years, there was no query about our transactions,” Agagu said.
He alleged that since the Mimiko administration got there, not one audited account in three years had been sent to the state house of assembly.

‘Jonathan’s good work’ll earn him another term in 2015’

‘Jonathan’s good work’ll earn him another term in 2015’

Businessman and public affairs analyst and commentator, Chief Joseph Okpala, has said that President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda is positioning the country on the path of development

In an interview with Saturday Sun, the septuagenarian, popularly called Ozua Kampala, from Anambra State noted that by 2015, when the programmes of the president would fully mature, Nigerians would see that there is no need to change performer and would support the reelection of President Jonathan.
What is your comment on the state of the nation?
Nigeria, ever since independence, has been wobbling, from one crisis to another. She has not lived up to expectation. However, if the present government of President Goodluck Jonathan should sustain the momentum of its transformation agenda, there is still hope for Nigeria. The reforms going on in every facet of the nation’s life are commendable. Electricity supply, which was very discouraging, is picking up.
To see that all hands are on deck, the president recently made the ministers sign contract performance bond, which is a sign of seriousness towards fulfilling his commitment to the electorate. In this regard, hope is not lost on Nigeria.
You talked about improvement in the power sector, won’t the resignation of the former minister of power, Prof. Barth Nnaji, retard the progress made?
Unfortunately, that is Nigeria for you. Certain Nigerians seem to be working at cross-purposes and don’t want Nigeria to progress because they are benefiting from the whole mess. Nnaji is a world-class scholar in his field and the way he engineered the turning around of the power sector shows that he has idea of what should be done. Unfortunately, because of funny politics he is out and I pray it does not affect the turnaround of the power sector.
How do you feel now that your state, Anambra, is 10th oil producing state?
This is cheering news. I know this will be our high moment, to be included in the league of oil producing states. Former Minister of Education, Mrs. Oby Ezekwesili, said, at the 20th anniversary of Ananmbra State last year, that oil is not the issue, but it is the brain. I hope that the oil exploration in Anambra will not be a curse, as it has been with Nigeria. I pray the oil will bring good tidings in Anambra and Nigeria. I also hope that Anambra people will be thankful discovery to God for the wonderful and also use it to complement their human resource industry.
What is your position on the crisis in APGA?
What was happening in APGA does not give cause for joy. The executive of the party was at daggers-drawn with Governor Obi. However, the party has started on a new drive to expand and this is a good omen. APGA should be a national party, not just a clannish party.
The governors of APGA states and the party executives should sit down, like intelligent people and sort out their differences, so that the party can move forward and play its role in national development as expected. I am calling on the elite and wealthy South easterners to see the necessity of having outfit to broaden the zone’s information dissemination base.
They should emulate those who have established newspaper houses. They are wealthier men than these people and so should invest in media in order to project our own side of the story. They should copy the South westerners who have invested massively in media.

The campaign for President Jonathan to run in 2015 is gathering momentum. What is your opinion?
I have no problem with Jonathan running in 2015. He is a Nigerian and well qualified. The way he is running his government by bringing on board seasoned technocrats shows that he knows what he is doing and where he is taking Nigeria. It is only some politicians that have issue with him, but the average Nigerians are on his side.  He is a good leader.
He is just barely a year and four months on the throne and if you are judging from the indices of his performance, he is doing very well. So far, he is on the right direction and should be supported. I am sure by 2015, most of his programmes would mature and people would see the reason not to quarrel with somebody who is working. He should be given another mandate. Nobody or zone should arrogate to him or itself demigod to think he is the only one that should rule.
He should not be hounded out; the Nigerian constitution does not confer superiority to any people over others. This smoke superiority exhibited by certain people is just figment of their imagination and symptom of pathological inferiority complex. Just as Olusegun Obasajno ran for two times, Jonathan, should equally run for two times. I am not a politician though I have sympathy for APGA but when somebody is doing well, it is worthy to commend such person. I thumb up for PDP for giving power to real marginalized part of the country.
Why are you not in active politics?
I used to be in politics. I was very active member of National Republican Convention (NRC) led by Chief Tom Ikimi. I worked with compatriots, like Ibrahim Mantu. At a certain point, I realised that politics is a wrong place for me because I sat back to look at politics and the players and I realised it is a way of Satan. It may sound funny. Politics is geared towards the good of man; to achieve good for man but most of the time you cannot expect much good to come of a bad base.
Satan was the first politician. When God created man, He was not dealing with man on political terms. It was a straightforward and honest relationship, but when Satan wanted to usurp power from God, he introduced the system of politics which characteristics are – half-truth, back stabbing, and betrayal etc. Like the Bible says, Satan is the father of lies. Politics is about lying, backstabbing betrayal and contention. You can now see why the whole mankind cannot know peace and cannot know meaningful development because it is on wrong foundation.
The base of all our developmental efforts is on wrong foundation, which is politics instituted by the devil. I sat back to think seriously about this and to know that whatever effort we try to make in the world, the Bible and some other religions have told us the end of our efforts and mankind. We are going down spiral; the world will end up in conflagration. If we were really developing why would we end up in abyss, in destruction. The world present educational system is faulty and on wrong foundation, which appeals to the best instinct of man. It has no God at the center of it and that is why man with all that he has achieved- going to moon, Mars etc, cannot achieve peace that will not cost him money.
Only an atoned heart that will make you see your fellow man as your brother and deal with him with honesty and love. What I am saying goes far away from our rational way of thinking. That is why I opted out of politics but it does not deter me from contributing ideas on the way things should be.
What is your view on global trend?
Man is heading down spirally because the Bible tells us of certain end of man, that is, what it calls the end of the world system; how the world will end. The first world ended with Noah and now we are in church age and it tells us that it would end in fire. When I look at what is going on, you will see that man has spent both civilised and uncivilised about 25 to 30 percent of their resources on dangerous armament of destruction. Is that sign of development? No. It shows that man has not overcome his base elements of hate, jealousy, wickedness etc. If the Bible tells us that this world will certainly end then why do we fool ourselves? Despite this warning, it will come suddenly and people would not be prepared. The Bible talks about a system that would come toward the end of the time, which is called the Beast system or 666.
We are now in the 666 systems. It is gathering momentum. That is what I think when Prof. Wole Soyinka and former Lagos State governor, Tinubu were talking about when they launched their book, “Financialism: Water from empty well.” I have not read it but my common sense tells me that what they are talking about is this 666 system. It is the system of the economy that the Bible talks about, which will envelop and engulf the whole world. Financialism is the way of the world now, which is why every nation is enjoined to run an integrated global system of economy and that is why when the stock market and bank crashed the whole world was in mess. I do not see this world lasting another 50 years. The emergence of Israel as a nation kick started that phase.

FIFA U-17 Women World Cup: Nigeria, Colombia fight for quarterfinal slots

FIFA U-17 Women World Cup: Nigeria, Colombia fight for quarterfinal slots

The Flamingoes will engage their Colombian counterparts this afternoon at the Tofiq Bahramov Stadium in Baku in the last group match at the ongoing FIFA Under-17 Women World Cup holding in Azerbaijan.
The Nigerian team needs a draw to berth in the quarterfinals, while the Colombian side must win to book a place among the last eight teams at the third edition of the championship. Nigeria and Canada have four points each after two matches, but the Flamingoes currently top Group A courtesy of their superior goal difference of +12, as against Canada’s +1. Colombia is third with three points, while the host, Azerbaijan, occupies the rear having lost its two previous matches, including Tuesday’s scandalous 11-0 defeat by the Flamingoes.
If the results of the matches played so far are anything to go by, then the Flamingoes should record another victory today. However, the Colombian side is expected to throw everything into the fray to win the encounter and join the Canadian team that is tipped to easily beat the weeping team, Azerbaijan, to claim one of the available two tickets from the group for the quarterfinals. Prominent among the players expected to fire Nigeria into the round of eight include striker Chinwendu Ihezuo, who scored five goals and made three assists in Tuesday’s 11-0 demolition of Azerbaijan to emerge the Man-of-the-Match.
Ihezuo had earlier rescued Nigeria with a point in the 1-1 draw against Canada in the first group match after Canada had taken the lead in the early minutes of the game. Other players expected to ensure Nigeria’s passage to the quarterfinals include Halimat Ayinde, who scored twice against Azerbaijan, Effiom, Tessy Biahwo and Joy Bokiri, all who got on the scorers’ sheet against Azerbaijan. Meanwhile, Coach Peter Dedevbo has assured that the Flamingoes would neither underrate the Colombian side nor allow the comprehensive victory against Azerbaijan to get into their heads.
“When we arrived in Azerbaijan for the tournament, I told my girls not to underrate any team. This could be seen in the way we approached each of our matches so far. “I thank God and my girls for the victory, but we will not let this get into our heads. We will continue to apply the same approach to every game,” he assured ahead of today’s decisive encounter against Colombia.

2 Ghanaian Celebs, Yvonne Nelson, Mzbel, Stab Each Other Over Ice Prince

2 Ghanaian Celebs, Yvonne Nelson, Mzbel, Stab Each Other Over Ice Prince

According to what Ghana Celebrities reported, two top Ghanaian celebrities, Yvonne Nelson and Mzbel are at loggerheads with each other over Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince, who may not know that they exist or aware that both ladies are fighting over him after allegedly fathering a child out of wedlock.

It was reported that Mzbel had disclosed to a mutual friend of both celebs about how Yvonne is dying to make Ice Prince notice her and maybe go down low with him. This mutual friend then reportedly told Yvonne about what Mzbel said about Yvonne behind her. Call this ‘big time olofofo (gossip)’? You are on point.
Not happy with the way Mzbel allegedly back-stabbed her, Yvonne was accused of doing what Ruggedman reportedly did to 9ice during their hyped ‘fight’ by recording her conversation with Mzbel, when she (Mzbel) later reportedly called to apologise for her wrong doing and also explain that the mutual friend had added some spices to exaggerate the real gist to make it look offensive.
The recorded conversation, as reported, was sent out on BlackBerry to some friends by Yvonne, which has reportedly been used as ringtones in Ghana.
It was also reported that Yvonne accused Mzbel of getting jealous of her success and beauty. There have been talks that Yvonne lives with her parents in a rented apartment in Dansoman, Ghana while her over hyped boutique is said to be a cheap ‘container shop’.
There are reports that one of the parties has threatened to ruin the career of the other. Will this end here? Maybe when Ice Prince settles the fracas in whatever way he can.
You will recall that not too long ago, there were rumour that Yvonne was in a sizzling romance with ‘Kukere’ master, Iyanya, which was denied. Are these real role models?

Twitter users have been openly voicing their dissatisfaction with the rap line, going as far as wishing Nicki was dead.

"BACK 2 SENDER" 2013 Budget: We can’t receive Jonathan -Reps

"BACK 2 SENDER" 2013 Budget: We can’t receive Jonathan -Reps

The House of Representatives yesterday rejected President Goodluck Jonathan’s request to present the 2013 budget proposal on October 4.
It hinged its decision on the conflict between the President’s date and the time frame the lower chamber set for oversight of projects executed by ministries and agencies.
President Jonathan had on Tuesday written the two chambers of the National Assembly informing them of plans to present the 2013 budget on October 4.
The letter was read on the floor of the two chambers by the Senate President, David Mark, and House Speaker, Aminu Tambuwal.
However, addressing journalists after the plenary yesterday, House spokesman, Hon. Zakari Mohammed, said the lawmakers would not be available to receive President Jonathan’s budget presentation on October 4.
Mohammed said: “We are going on oversight and will not be back until October 9.”
Mohammed had last week said the House would not accept the 2013 Budget until it was satisfied with the implementation of this year’s budget.
But only last week it accepted the medium term budget sent by the Presidency after a meeting with the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo Iweala.
The House is billed to begin oversight of projects on October 1.
Dismissing insinuation that the House’s decision not to receive President Jonathan on October 4 was in furtherance of the rift between the House and the executive, Zakari said: “There is no rift between us.”
He continued: “It is purely on the ground of what I told you.”
On the deportation of some Nigerian women on hajj by the Saudi Arabia authorities, the House spokesman said the issue was being addressed by the two countries.
Meanwhile, in order to properly harness the activities and contributions of Nigerians in the diaspora to national development, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, yesterday proposed the establishment of a national diaspora centre as a rallying point for this purpose.
This was even as members of the House of Representatives are pushing for the setting up of a diaspora commission and putting in place a policy that would facilitate proper coordination of diaspora affairs.
This, according to the House, is to facilitate the harmonisation of the talents of Nigerians in the diaspora with the nation’s development efforts.
The SGF made the proposal when a delegation of the House Committee on Diaspora, led by its Chairperson, Abike Dabiri-Erewa, paid him a courtesy call in his office to seek ways forward on diaspora matters.
He stated that the establishment of a diaspora centre should go together with the development of a diaspora policy.
He assured the visiting team that he would get the consent of President Jonathan to set up a committee comprising members of the parliament and the executive to work together to articulate how it would function effectively.
He, however, cautioned against leaving the programmes and the general diaspora affairs in the hands of the government because it might be fluctuating from one administration to another.
The SGF suggested that it would be better for the diaspora centre to be given an environment conducive for effective functioning without necessarily depending on the government for funding.
Anyim revealed that President Jonathan was highly interested in diaspora issues and would give the idea of national diaspora centre and diaspora policy full support.
